new - Strategy & Concepts is a studio for ideas, business and communication strategy. Founded by Milo Tesselaar in Vienna, with projects and a multi-disciplinary network of specialists all over Europe.

I join owners, founders, executives, supervisory boards, institutional representatives and public figures to think and shape vision, strategy and organisational transformation. I work with the leadership of family companies and start-ups, governments and cities, cultural institutions and media organisations, movements, NGOs and foundations.

I see what’s missing. And what could be - in people, places and organisations. I bring an unconventional perspective, business savviness, a systemic approach and creative thinking to the strategic questions of what comes next. I help find and evaluate the right partner or people to make it happen, and together with my individually curated teams of collaborators I back the implementation. Whatever the situation, thinking, connecting and supporting is what I do.

What I do
Think
Vision, concept and strategy. I grasp a whole field or organisation in its connections, think in systems and for the long term. I bring creative impulse, entrepreneurial drive, a good sense for your levers and an outside perspective to where it makes a big difference.
Connect
I scout, curate and evaluate what a moment needs: partners, talent, leadership, markets, ideas and trends. I help find the right people, internally and externally, to make it real. I accompany the implementation, and where it matters, take responsibility myself.
Support
A reliable and loyal sparring partner to leaders in day-to-day business: think together, make space, strategise, see room for manoeuvre, create opportunities, challenge assumptions, voice disagreement, support in decision-making.
Who I am

I founded new - Strategy & Concepts in early 2023, after more than twenty-four years of initiating, building, leading, advising across different worlds: culture, media, politics, hospitality, social impact. I’m an Austrian/Dutch mixture, based in Vienna, and self-employed since the age of nineteen, having intentionally chosen my own path apart from school and university early on. What accompanied me through all this time was a way of noticing: I see something new before it exists, a potential or a systemic gap. In places. In people. In organisations. In markets. In systems.
